    About the standard

    RTRS Production is an international standard designed to certify responsible soybean production, integrating environmental, social and legal criteria. It demonstrates that the crop is grown without deforestation, respecting labor rights, complying with current regulations and applying good agricultural and management practices.

    Features

    Benefits include improved farm management efficiency, soil protection, improved water management, increased employee motivation and better relations with neighbors and communities. In addition, RTRS certification allows for improved internal management through monitoring, which enables comparisons to be made.

    Promotes decision making and supports the use of more information and control or management tools. Economic benefits are generated through improved efficiency in tasks, the production system and the use of agricultural pesticides.

    External benefits include better conditions when applying for bank loans and compliance with international standards. These advantages provide guarantees to existing markets and promote the development of new ones seeking RTRS soybeans.

    The key role of traceability

    Certification of responsible production is only the first step. For certified soybeans to retain their value on the market and reach the consumer as a product recognized for its sustainable origin, it is essential to ensure traceability throughout the chain.

    This is where RTRS Chain of Custody (CoC) certification comes into play: a system that allows each intermediate actor – harvesters, transporters, processors, exporters – to maintain the integrity of the product through records, controls and recognized models such as Segregation or Mass Balance.
