RFS2 – Renewable Fuel Standard 2
The RFS2 (Renewable Fuel Standard 2) is the U.S. EPA regulatory program established under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the EISA of 2007. It sets mandatory minimum volumes of biofuels to be blended with gasoline and diesel to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and promote cleaner energy.
RTRS CoC – Round Table on Responsible Soy | Chain of Custody
RTRS CoC (Chain of Custody) is the standard that guarantees the traceability of responsibly certified soybeans and corn from origin to final product. It was developed by RTRS to ensure that each actor in the chain – growers, harvesters, processors, traders – correctly handles certified material under defined control models.
CFR – Clean Fuel Regulation
Clean Fuel Regulations is a Canadian scheme aimed at reducing the carbon intensity of transport fuels (gasoline, diesel, hydrogen, electricity) through a progressive reduction of emissions and a system of tradable credits.
ISCC Plus
ISCC Plus is a thorough basis for the voluntary implementation of sustainability criteria in supply chains which are similar to the EU RED. Companies with an existing ISCC-EU certificate are able to extend to ISCC PLUS during the certificate validity period and benefit this way from the additional possibilities an ISCC PLUS certification offers in market applications outside the EU fuel market.
ISCC Corsia
ISCC CORSIA is the ISCC module designed to demonstrate compliance with the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) CORSIA scheme, which seeks to reduce aviation sector emissions through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs).
ISCC EU
ISCC EU is a scheme recognized by the European Commission to demonstrate that the production of biomass, bioliquids, and biofuels meets the sustainability requirements established by the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II). It is mandatory for companies that produce or market biofuels for the European Union market.
