Organico Senasa

Orgánico Argentina  – Resolución 374/2016 de SENASA

The national organic regulation is the standard that ensures production through practices aimed at sustainability and biodiversity protection. It was developed by SENASA to guarantee that every actor in the chain — producers, manufacturers, processors, and marketers — complies with regulatory requirements.

    About the standard

The scheme includes requirements for agricultural, livestock, beekeeping, and aquaculture production, as well as the processing of food and textile products. Certification under this regulation allows the commercialization of organic products in Argentina and, due to its equivalence with European regulations, enables their export to the EU, with the exception of wine and aquaculture products.

    Benefits

By implementing this scheme, companies assure their customers that their goal is to produce healthy and abundant food while respecting the environment and preserving natural resources.

Certification provides consumers with confidence that regulatory requirements are met throughout the entire supply chain.
