ISCC Corsia
ISCC CORSIA is the ISCC module designed to demonstrate compliance with the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) CORSIA scheme, which seeks to reduce aviation sector emissions through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs).

ISCC – Corsia
About the standard
This scheme allows for the certification of sustainable aviation biofuels, from raw materials to final SAF production. It requires traceability, lifecycle emissions calculations, and compliance with environmental and monitoring requirements established by ICAO.
It integrates with ISCC EU in its structure, but incorporates additional requirements regarding feedstock eligibility, calculation methodologies, and compliance monitoring for airlines and producers.
Criteria
CORSIA eligible fuels must meet the following criteria:
-
Greenhouse Gases: a reduced net carbon emission of at least 10% compared to the baseline life cycle emissions.
-
Carbon Stock: eligible fuels should not be made from biomass obtained from land with high carbon stock and may not be grown on land with land use change of such land on or after 01 January 2008.
