GOTS is the most globally recognized standard for textile production with organic fibers, from the harvesting of raw materials to the final product. It certifies not only the organic content but also environmental, social, and chemical conditions throughout the entire supply chain.

About the standard
Developed by a consortium of international organizations, GOTS combines traceability, social responsibility, and chemical restrictions to ensure that textile products are truly sustainable. It applies to spinning mills, weaving mills, dyeing facilities, garment factories, and brands.
The standard covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trading, and distribution of all textiles made with at least 70% certified organic natural fibers. Final fiber products may include, but are not limited to, yarns, fabrics, garments, and home textiles. However, this standard does not establish criteria for leather products.

Requirements to apply
