2BSvs is a scheme recognized by the European Union that allows demonstrating that the biomass used for biofuel production meets the sustainability criteria required by the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II).

    About the standard

    This system was developed in France by a consortium from the energy sector, aiming to provide an efficient, verifiable alternative aligned with EU requirements. It evaluates aspects such as land use, traceability, no deforestation, legal compliance, and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. It is designed to be agile, with less operational complexity than other similar schemes, and exclusively focused on chains intended for the production of liquid biofuels.

    Commitments after Certification

    Once certified, your 2BS certificate is valid for 5 years, provided that annual surveillance audits are carried out. Surveillance audits must be performed every year on the anniversary date of the initial certificate (plus or minus two months). You commit to ensuring proper traceability of flows, declaring your Proof of Sustainability (POS), and carrying out your annual surveillance audits.

    The first step is to register on the 2BS platform by filling out the registration form. https://www.2bsvs.org/en/register/

    Send us the completed application form

    Once the first stage is validated, you can download the form from this page and complete the technical details about your operation, type of biomass, and role in the chain.

    Evaluation and proposal

    Based on the information received, we will send you a technical and economic proposal outlining the audit scope, timelines, and budget.

    Confirmation and coordination

    Once the proposal is signed, the audit is scheduled, and we will explain which documents to prepare and how to present the information.
